This is a question from a subscriber about the preferred hole size for the mixing chamber of a pressure pot sand blaster. Its the sandblaster part that connects the abrasive container to the mixing valve.
Hi Eric, I’m just looking at making a sandblasting unit, and surfing the net to see what is available,
my question is what size orifice is required at the sand entrance to the mixing chamber? thank you, regards Bob
I prefer a larger hole of about ¾” but I believe most are about ½”. The larger hole prevents a lot of clogging too.
I’d say ¾” is a perfect size- not too big, not too small.
