Most valves on pressure pot sandblaster nozzles are made out of brass and don’t last very long. After many frustrating times with my abrasive blowing a hole out of the brass, I decided to create an improved nozzle made out of steel to provide long-lasting blasting.
Tip
This kit comes with a simple ceramic tip which can be easily replaced with any other tapered version.
Tip Holder
Although the tip holder is made out of brass, this component is does not come in contact with the abrasive flow.
Nozzle Body
The body is made out of galvanized steel to reduce likelihood of rust.
On/Off Valve
The ball valve controls whether the abrasive blasting is on or off. This is made of stainless steel.
Just bought a pot w/mixer and have trouble getting media to flow…..any ideas?Seems as though I get all at once or nothing at all unless tapping on the mixer. I’m trying to use med.grade blasting sand so I guess it must be too sharp for the opening—am I barking up a tree or what?
Lyle,
I always recommend folks buy more abrasive and filling the tank up more. I’ve researched flow problems a fair amount, and it seems like 9 out of 10 times, the problem is that it just needs more abrasive. I found out that about the first 30% of the tank’s abrasive can’t funnel down. So if someone fills it up with only 50%, then they won’t be blasting very long.
I’ve talked about this in my ebook https://www.sandblasterinfo.com/sandblaster-manual/ and provide other solutions too.
Eric, when I tried to apply the coupon code Amazon informed me “The promotional code you entered is not valid.” It was a simple cut and paste – what gives?
@Dana, I apologize for the confusion. That was for last year- I should have stated the full date or removed it. For the trouble, I updated this promotion with a new coupon code for about 30% off to expire at the end of the year.
Thank you for your interest and sorry about that.
