On this blog, we have talked about another sandblaster hose and nozzle kit which uses a pinch valve to control the variable flow of abrasive. But we haven’t discussed the other more preferred version of this which uses a steel ball valve to turn the abrasive on & off at the nozzle.
This is another inexpensive way to improve your sandblaster nozzle while using a smaller hose system.
Our Kit Does the Following:
- Valve Increases Long Life Use– our kit is made with a stainless-steel ball valve which is holds up the abrasive longer than systems that commonly use cheaper brass valves. Replace less often and save money in the long run. Blasting abrasive eventually deteriorates the walls of the soft brass valves & shoots out the side, but our hard steel construction prevents this.
- Easy Quick On/Off Abrasive– use our lever to quickly and easily turn the abrasive on or off at your fingertips.
- Wear Resistant, Long Life– All the metal parts that come in contact with abrasive are made out of either galvanized steel or stainless steel so you will experience a long life without rusting away.
- Increases Hose Maneuverablity – this kit is perfect for folks that perform lighter blasting such as glass etching, sandcarving or blasting items in garage-sized blast cabinets. Included is a much smaller 1/4″ ID sandblast hose which reduces the frustration of handling those large 1/2″ rubber hoses which comes with most pressure pot blasters. Those large hoses are unnecessarily heavy & over-sized for folks that blast with smaller nozzles inside cabinets.
- Easy to Install– this kit also comes with a quick and easy to connect reducer. Simply unscrew the hose clamp from the large 1/2″ ID hose, slide our hose over the barbed fitting which is included on most pressure pots such as Harbor Freight blasters, and tighten the new hose clamp. That’s it! We provide all the parts.
- Abrasive Resistant Hose– we don’t recommend using hoses provided by most hardware stores for this because they are not made for sandblasting. Our included hose is abrasive resistant for longer lasting use, inexpensive to replace and has a suggested working pressure of 67 PSI while having an tested bursting pressure of 201 PSI at 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
Connect to Pressure Pot Systems Only
This setup can only be used with the pressure pot sandblasters. You can read about the different types of sandblasters here.
