Hi Eric, I have a question about air compressors. I have not bought or made a sandblaster. I only have a small air compressor. Most sandblaster need a lot of air.
My question is: Can you join two air compressor together?
You T the output of two compressor together (both has 5 CFM) and the output would be 10 CFM!!! I have seen videos on Youtube. Some people says YES and others NO. What is you input?? Thank you for your time,
Randy
Hi Randy,
This should be an easy question. I am fairly certain the CFM would double, but it has been some time since I studied physics. For me, if I don’t use it, I tend to loose it.
So that is not a confident answer. If they did add up, I don’t think it would equate perfectly to double but close to it. Honestly, I would ask a major sandblaster company. You might have to bypass one of the pressure regulators so it all goes through one.
Sorry I couldn’t give you a perfect answer.
Anyone else have suggestions? Please comment below.
Pretty sure your going to need one way valves and a large collection tank?
If compressors get out of phase or one switches off, the other may pressurise line and prevent it starting if they are just ‘T’d together?
I do it all the time and yes! Just get a manifold hose setup. I use 3 compressors routinely.

Right in ROBO!!! I am about to add two more 7.5 scfm output compressors to a ( three into one collector.) I as well was wondered if this would come close to a 23 SCFM output…….. using three 3/8 into a ….1/2 hose and blasting gun. Great answer for me, Thanks. Maryville, Wa.
